Love, Loss & Connection

Fatherhood, Identity & Becoming

Healing, Acceptance & Choosing Yourself

An exploration of the relationships that shape us, the attachments we carry, and the difficult truths we sometimes discover through loving others.

Reflections on responsibility, personal identity and the ways life's experiences reshape our understanding of who we are.

The gradual journey from surviving life's experiences to understanding them — and learning that personal peace need not come at the expense of compassion.

A NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR

Why I Wrote Choosing Me

There comes a point in life when the questions we have spent years avoiding begin to ask something of us.

For me, writing Choosing Me became an opportunity to examine the experiences that shaped my understanding of love, responsibility, loss and personal identity.

It was not an attempt to rewrite the past or assign blame. It was an opportunity to understand it with greater honesty, compassion and perspective.

Above all, it was an exploration of what it means to remain connected to others without losing our connection to ourselves.
